Anthony Schatteman graduated from KASK-School of Arts in Ghent after which he obtained an additional master's degree ‘Film Studies and Visual Culture’ at the University of Antwerp.

His first short film ‘Kiss me softly’ was a real festival favorite, winning awards at international film festivals worldwide. Three more short films followed: ‘Follow me’, ‘Petit Ami’ and ‘Hello, Stranger’.

In 2020 he directed 'Leef', a fiction series for Eén, starring Joke Emmers and Michäel Pas.

'Panna' was released on 30/08, airing on Goplay.be for Sbs, in a production of Sputnik Media. It follows 4 young girls who follow their dream to become football players on the streets of Antwerp.

'L' Homme Inconnu' is his newest short, shot on 16mm in Cavalaire-Sur-Mer and will have its premiere by the end of 2021.

Anthony Schatteman's work is often praised for its intimate narratives which display an intense acting style and show real emotions that are easily relatable to the viewer.

Currently Anthony is developing  the script of his first feature film ‘Young Hearts’, produced by Polar Bear Films & Ketnet.
